Will this blog work to feed my app?

Hi My end goal is to create an app that will send parents a push notice giving them the title of one of my short blogs on speech-language development ideas. Eventually I hope to have the pushes/blogs separated as to what age they are appropriate for. If the parent likes the title they could look at the whole blog (not sure yet how). Following some previous good advice I set up a blog - www.ideastogrowon.net and started posting. Before I go much farther though I'm hoping someone could have a quick look at how I set it up and let me know if I need to change anything. - So that my end goal will be as easy as possible to put together. Thanks much for your time. Garth

Hi Garth It looks like you have set up a fairly standard wordpress blog, no issues with that. You also said you want to send a push with a blog title in it, which on its own also standard stuff. Maybe you could make each blog have its own hyperlink, so that you could embed a hyperlink in your push content? Segmenting the push by 'channel' on the other hand is a bit complicated. People would have to register in some way to be segmented and I don't know how that works. Look at parse.com for that as a lot people here have integrated their push products with buzztouch. I think that the best thing to do is for you to flesh out the complete user experience that you are looking for, which in turn drives the design and in turn will tell you what else needs to be done.

Thanks much for looking at my site. I'll work on adding in the hyperlinks and figuring out how to segment. Must be some way as I've seen apps that push other child dev ideas based on how old the child is. Garth

Hi. Thanks for trying. I just did an update. Try again. Also I'm still unsure if the app should send just the title or the whole post. The posts are fairly short. I'm still trying to decide which people would like better and which would be easier to monitize. Any difference in which would be easier to set up? Thanks

At this early stage, just get the content and the app released. Monetize later. Don't let money hamper your progress. :-)

I love your Tips! Think about using a sidebar showing a set of recent tips or a Tip of the Week.

Money will be a long long way down the road but I want to give it the right set up so I have the best chance possible of seeing a bit of profit. Thanks Garth

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll rename the pages. I'm still working on getting the page order to stay constant. Will be a work in progress.
