So happy to be back!

Hello Everyone! I'm back after a couple of years. I've decided I miss coding and my business so i'm re-branding and redoing my app. Hopefully I'm not to rusty! Just a couple of questions I have to start again... 1. This time I am not interested in doing a "live refresh app." I think it would be easier to work on my app offline then submit updates as necessary. 2. I believe I have all the necessary software (Xcode/eclipse etc) installed but I would like to link my app to the simulator as I code. Is there an updated how to about this? For all the wine lovers in the USA stay tuned :)

Well, you should go for Android Studio 2.0, Eclipse probably will not function any more. As for the simulators, with Xcode, that is easy; with Android Studio 2.0, simulators are much improved, but if you have only 4GB on a Mac, simulators may not run at all. For Android Studio, the more memory you have, the better and the faster the processor, also the better.

Thanks Dusko! I was wondering why Eclipse looked funny. I've downloaded Android studio 2.0. As far as my mac i've only used about 4gb of 260 ish gb storage. I keep it pretty clean. I've got my app started here- how do I link it to Xcode to run the simulator while I enter my code?

The procedure for Xcode is the same as before: download the app from the BT server, import it into Xcode, decide upon the simulator you want to run the app against, run it... that's it, in broad strokes, of course. I believe GoNorthWest here in forums has the appropriate videos for this kind of introduction to BT.
