Don't forget - Buzzcon '14 - Las Vegas - April 26, 2014

Hi everyone - Just a reminder to make plans to attend Buzzcon '14 in Las Vegas, NV, USA. This special once-a-year event will be held on Saturday, April 26th at the Platinum Hotel & Spa. Buzzcon '14 gives you the opportunity to meet and interact with David Book and the entire Buzztouch leadership team, along with many of the leading developers that are a part of the Buzztouch community. You will meet the inaugural graduating class of Buzztouch Code Camp, hear from David during his keynote address, along with a highlight presentation from a special guest (TBA - more details once travel plans are finalized) which you won't want to miss. The networking opportunities on Friday night and during the day on Saturday will be invaluable. To learn more about the host hotel, check here: http://www.theplatinumhotel.com We would highly encourage you to stay at the Platinum if you're making plans to attend, and use this information when contacting the hotel: "Individual guests associated with the Group will be making their own reservations for suites in the Guest Suite Block by calling the reservation office at 877-211-9211 and request the Buzztouch CodeCamp and Buzzcon 2014 group." The weekend rate is $119 plus tax, but there are no resort fees and other "hidden" ancillary charges, which makes the Platinum a very nice facility at a reasonable price. More information to come - look forward to seeing all of you in Vegas!

Awesome, it will be another great gathering of BuzzTouch'ers. The St. Louis and San Diego ones were terrific! This one promises to be even better with that surprise guest speaker :-) Warren -- Many thanks for arranging this fabulous conference! I have witnessed your many talents, you are a natural. -- Niraj

I'm super excited for buzzCon and codeCamp. A year is too long to go before seeing good friends. :)

I don't see anything on the Webinars and Events page about Buzzcon '14. Is there any place to sign up and get info on where to meet, when it starts, etc.?

Thanks @Warren Evans. I see the flyer with the date, but I don't see any hours or itinerary (speakers/presentations) or location (somewhere in Platinum hotel?) I may be confused about the Buzzcon part of the week. After a week of code camp - is Buzzcom designed to be a casual networking get-together for BTers to spend the day exploring Las Vegas, rather than a Buzzday sort of event?

Based on the St. Louis BuzzCon, I predict this one to be similar. It is a bigger-grander version of the SD BuzzDay. It probably will be in a formal conference room. With a few more speakers. The hotel probably has a few spots to spread out and gab. I encourage folks to be there on Friday evening as a way to connect the names with faces. Because Saturday will be packed with more people and a full-schedule, the Friday evening is a casual meetup environment. Sunday morning is a final opportunity to share things and to bid our adieu. Of course, Warren is the only one who knows for sure ... That was my best guess! :-) -- Niraj

I echo what Niraj said. BuzzCon is the biggest event of the year and is planned by Buzztouch. Buzzdays are day long events hosted by a Member, and then we also have less formal meetups that would last a few hours. Last year we had a lot of fun the day after BuzzCon, so don't make plans to take off right away. It was a great chance to get to know individuals in the community, and we has some shared adventures in St. Louis.

@shenry - Buzzcon '14 is the official Buzztouch annual user conference. Code Camp is a separate event, just coincidentally back-to-back with Buzzcon '14. It will be held in the Diamond and Emerald rooms at the Platinum Hotel on Saturday, April 26. Formal activities begin at 10 AM and run until 5 PM. I'd like to give you the agenda for that day, but we're waiting on a guest speaker to finalize their availability. David Book will speak twice; in addition, there will be a special session recognizing the Code Camp graduates. So four (possibly a fifth) formal sessions. Friday night and Saturday night will both be informal gatherings but huge networking opportunities. Sorry I can't give you all the details yet, but I can assure you that it will be worth attending. You won't be disappointed.

This hotel sounds amazing. $900+ sq ft suite for $119! The person taking my reservations said that if you're taking a taxi from the airport, tell the driver to NOT go through the tunnel. That's the long way. The normal rate should be about $20.
