how would i go about connecting my device to computer for testing on iPhone

Mechanically, you use your iPhone's USB cable. For software, you use Xcode. But first, you need to get your Apple Developer membership. $99/year. https://developer.apple.com/

I have that for apple so just plug into computer and then what whats next steps anything on line that shows how to do that??

Where you choose the simulator in Xcode, you should see your device listed as one of the options, just as if it was one of the sims.
