I'm thinking having the navigation bar on the left side in landscape mode with the content screen on the right side, and in portrait mode there should be a drop down menu from an icon in the upper left corner? If you want 'native' iOS functionality, that would most likely need to be coded into the plugin somehow. Actually, I suppose they 'both' would need coding, but HTML is much easier, usually.
