iOS Monetizing Experiences

Hello all, I've got a few trivia apps in iTunes (my first few), and they are not making any money using iAds. I'd like to integrate some interstitial ads at the end and beginning of the trivia rounds. What ad companies has anyone had success with implementing in a BT app? What ad companies have brought in decent revenue? Thanks! Janeen

Absentia has posted on here about applovin. Adam has been working on integrating admob. If you need any help with the quiz plugin and ads I will have some time later in the week.

Thanks to Nick, I've been using AdMob. Rev is based by clicks with them. They are solid as an ad provider you will find. From Nov. 7 to today using full screen ads I've made $4.73 per every 1,000 impressions. Hope this helps a bit. Adam

Is there a "How To" for intergrating AdMob in a Buzztouch created app? Mike

I believe there is info about integrating Admob into Android - any help on integrating to IOS would be great to see.

Gents, Thank you for sharing - and NAD, thanks for your offer to assist. In the spirit of Buzztouch, I will dive in and see if I can follow the long Absentia thread to get AppLovin into my next app. I'll be back on the forums if I get stumped, and once I successfully make it through the maze, I'll be sure to post the approved iOS solution!

Monetizing is a hard topic to find in the forums here! I'm working on an app, and I'm struggling with the "sell it vs ads" perspective. I know I'd sell some of them, but I also know that if it's free then I'd get a LOT more traffic as it would be a fairly mainstream app. I know I could go from free to paid, but from an ad perspective I'm not sure how fruitful it may be. It is an app I could expect a large number of users to repeat their usage 2-3 times a year for a few weeks at a time. Does anybody have any real life feedback they are willing to share, opinions or guidance.

@Fingers Crossed, I am in a similar position. My current thinking is to do a paid for version with no advertising, plus a 'lite' version, with some kind of reduced content and with advertising. My thinking is that more people will take the lite version, as it seems to me that most people do not want to take the risk of buying without good reason. If they like the lite version, and want more of the same or without adverts, it gives them a reason to move up to the paid version.
