Buzztouch Educators Follow-Up

Hey everyone! First of all, a big thank you to everyone that attended the kick-off meeting of the Buzztouch Educators group! Brainstormed plenty of innovative ideas and we're looking forward to moving to the next step of sorting, prioritizing, and implementing. Our next meeting will likely be in January - we'll announce it once it's official. Also, since it was mentioned a couple of times today, I wanted to share a quick 60 second promo for the learning program I created on developing iOS applications with Buzztouch. A reminder that this work was a semester-long instructional design project for a 30-minute unit of instruction. Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExU9S7Ewcpw Learning Program - http://educationisphysical.com/e-portfolio/ Talk soon! Nicholas

@MacApple - LOL! You literally gave me a laughing out loud moment. I appreciate it, Keith, and we'd love to have the man with the dashing white suit on board! @Sheri - It was a pleasure to meet you as well along with many of the Buzztouch community members! Video was indeed created with VideoScribe. :) Thank you for your feedback and for your contributions, it was great to get together with like-minded individuals and have a brainstorming session! Talk soon, Sheri! ;) Nicholas

Twitter is still my favourite social network type thingy. Neglected it recently but still love it for breaking news, wee, sweet interactions. Simon Pegg called me names once on it. Sad claim to fame I know but hey it's the small things eh? Love ma twitter! Off to shout at Eclipse.

It's my favourite as well! At first, I didn't see the benefit of 140 character tweets, but there's just so much potential. And I've had some "celebrity" responses as well, including a couple of sports anchors here in Canada and from Ben Savage, the main character of admittedly my favourite show of the 90s, Boy Meets World! Have fun with Eclipse! Nicholas

Twitter just seems more real than the others. That's not to say I don't love hearing about how some person on Facebook, who I haven't seen since 1991 is having troubles with their husband and satellite company and that 'just one more vodka ah'll be setting' about them' posts. Dems what make Facebook for me. Peace

Nice Video! Please tell us more about VideoScribe. Cost, development time, tools needed, etc. Next time, to make the URL be memorable, use Camel-case as such: http://EducationIsPhysical.com/e-portfolio/ Congratulations on the kickoff meeting. Got a good momentum going there! -- Niraj

Thanks for the tip, Niraj! I had someone on Fiverr use VideoScribe for the video. Information about it is available here - http://www.sparkol.com/products/videoscribe 7 day trial followed by a monthly or annual cost. Unfortunately, I can't justify the cost with the amount I'd actually use it. Thanks again, Niraj! Nicholas

I too was taken aback by the cost of VideoScribe. Please let us know who on Fiverr gave you good service on the VideoScribe'd material. -- Niraj

Here's the link to the Fiverr gig - http://fiverr.com/bnn_marketing/create-an-eye-catching-whiteboard-animation-digital-hand-drawn-video-scribe Probably the best VideoScribe gig available on Fiverr with plenty of flexibility. Hope that helps! Nicholas
