Best way to capture video from simulator?

What do others recommend when it comes time to capture some video of my app for marketing purposes? Really need a good screen recording tool. Don't mind spending money to get a one that is easy to use and produces good results from the xcode 5.1 simulator. Suggestions??

QuickTime seems to work decently.

I seriously doubt I paid $59.95 for it originally; The price must have gone up over time. But I've been using it for years... http://www.shinywhitebox.com/ishowu-hd-pro It's perhaps a little overkill for App Demos, but when used for tutorial and training videos, it can really shine. It does watermarks, It can display or supress visible mouse clicks, the pointer, it can show keystrokes that occur off screen, and all kinds of useful stuff. You can record from the mic, or from within the application, or a few options. If only for App Demos, I'd stick with the built in quicktime recorder... Like Niraj says, it works fine, lasts a long time. But if you need something that covers a lot more bases, I'm happy with IShowU HD (Pro). And the stability is FAR greater since 10.6, when I first obtained my copy... It can't be the only game in town; there must be a few others worth looking at... But it was pretty good at the game when I first got it, and I've been upgrading ever since... Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks- The problem I had with Quicktime on my system was even though I drew a rectangle that was the area of the simulator screen, once it was ready to record it always resized wider. Also recorded the mouse form even though the setting was correct. Smug- they have a $20 version which might do everything I need. Also checking some other free options that now are available using airPlay.

I use a couple of things. Snapz Pro X: http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox - $69 Camtasia: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html - $99 I got each as part of bundles a while back, so I didn't pay full price. I think Snapz Pro X has a 15 day free trial. -William
