Google Offers A Free Crash Course In Android Development - almost at full capacity

For the Android fans... an eight week/6hr a week course that assumes you have a strong working knowledge of Java or another object-oriented programming language. This "free course" has free course material but requires a monthly fee of $150 if you want the full package including personal guidance from a coach. Article in TechCrunch: "Getting programmers to a place where they can “think like an Android developer” makes it a lot more likely that Android’s new auto, TV and wearable platforms become sticky, instead of something consumers don’t mind mostly ignoring." http://techcrunch.com/2014/07/15/google-offers-up-a-free-crash-course-in-android-development/?ncid=fb&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=fb&utm_content=FaceBook

I signed up for this and started taking it...it's pretty good! I've already learned a few new things. And, they are using Android Studio, so I guess I'll get to learn that as well. Thanks! Mark

Helps very much to have some prior coding experience. The quizzes in the first lesson expect you to be able to do some good stuff!
