This might just sound a little crazy...

Okay so I work for a company that wants to solve some efficiency issues, this firm has engineers on the road full time, they usually send they're reports (using carbon paper pads) back to head office, where the work is duplicated and the pads are turned into electronic reports... I'll cut to the chase and maybe someone can tell me where this is at all possible... there are no time constraints or cost constraints (within reason). Okay... here it goes. 1st. Engineers need to use the app to fill out a form using drop down boxes 2nd. On completion of the form the engineers need to take a photo 3rd. All of this information needs to be send to an email address (the form and the photo) Problems; I can see there being a problem with the linear nature, the step by step form filling and also a problem with the sending of the photo. Hope somebody can help me out, it will be greatly appreciated. Regards Nick

This can be done, yes. Nothing you mention would be a problem, will take some work creating the custom forms and making some slight changes to some of the available screens to allow for the attachment of the photograph. I'd imagine this might be a tricky one to get into app store though so an ad-hoc distribution, just for the engineers might be the way forward. How many staff / engineers would need access to the app?

Hi Mac apple, yeah it wouldn't be something that we'd want to distribute. Although the information isn't sensitive I would be a pain in a competitors hands. It would only be for around 30 engineers although the company is expanding so, to future proof it for a couple of years possibly 50? Thanks for the input. Nick.

Makes sense. No problem at all then. I believe the maximum devices for ad-hoc is 100, this may have risen since I last looked but you are good with 50 as a fail safe.

Hey MacApple, What do you mean by max devices for ad-hoc is 100? We cannot distribute our app to more than 100 devices?

If you are not going through the app store and go for ad-hoc distribution there is a limit. Have a search on Google, sure it used to be 100.

Ah ok but if we go on an apple store this is unlimited... This is what was starting to worry me.
