Tons and tons of things could cause this. Are you installing form the App Market? From Eclipse? From a URL on your webiste? Does the device have 'allow non market apps' allowed in settings? Most folks set their phones to 'allow non-market apps' and 'allow debug' while the develop. These are in the Anroid settings panel on the device.

yes i installed from Eclipse. I was reading on the net and it said that apps wount install if not signed. Is this true? and yes I have allow non-market apps enabled.

Try this: a) With your device plugged in (and set to 'allow debugging in settings') open up the AVD (Android Virtual Device) Manager. You should see your running device listed. b) Select your project then 'Run' You should be presented with a window to choose what to run it in, select your device c) Give a moment then look at the list of applications on your device - should be there.

No but you can code-sign it if you want. Does'nt change anything in debug mode from Eclipse. To code sign: a) Highlight project b) Right/Command click to show context menu c) Scoll all the way down context menu to 'Export Signed Application' and follow the steps. What you'll end up with is a .apk file that you could upload the market, host your site, etc.

Hi buzztouch, My problem is similar. When I RUN my app (android / ver1.5)in eclipse on my phone the console screen in eclipse shows [2012-06-25 22:33:21 - xyz] Failed to install xyz.apk on device 'serial number': timeout [2012-06-25 22:33:21 - xyz] Launch canceled! I have noticed that when selecting my phone from the run screen the target device is 2.3.4 and it has an amber triangle (warning) beside it. Any ideas what the problem could be?
