Pardon the caps, I'm so happy. For those who need Streaming audio. Regardless of Icecast or Shoutcast as the server. Install a NEW ICECAST SERVER on your SERVER. Configure that ICECAST SERVER to relay your current ICECAST or SHOUTCAST SERVER. Tell your new ICECAST SERVER to relay the original stream, but mount each relay as .mp3 You are essentially faking an audio stream as a single MP3 file. This is working in ANDROID only. I cannot test this in Iphone/Ipad/Itouch. Feel free to contact me if you can help test availability. If Iphone doesn't work, I'm simply keeping two separate apps. m3u links for Iphone mp3 links for Android. Done Deal! Not yet. We are testing to see if it works on iphone in its current state with icecast. My android apk is signed and ready to go. In the meantime visit http://android.cyber-fm.com and please. I always welcome free QA ;) Another station owner and I will be writing up step by step instructions for the community here with regards to buding and enabling icecast mp3 spoofing for everyone else's benefit.

Really, can't say thanks enough, your sleuthing this out is a huge help. v.15 player is a screen that looks and acts more native. I'll need to experiment with you ideas to get them in the Android. Were hoping to have v1.5 done for iOS after the holiday break, it doesn't take long to port it to Android. The ONLY hangup so far was the Player feature - can't wait to see what I can do with your discoveries.

I could help compile but I'm worried the App Store. Worried meaning I am planning to remove my account (the David Book account) from Apple. I'm doing this because lots and lots of people think I'm somehow trying to build up a list of apps under my account to somehow exploit. I'm not. This project is about your apps, not mine. Figured I would just remove my account to help the nay-sayers understand. Funny. Compiling is one thing, distribution is another. Helping you compile is the least I can do, just not sure where to put your compiled app in the App Store. Hmm... maybe we can create another account for you or something? Trying to avoid the $99! laughs.

Just tried out the app. Works great. Where did you get the barcode for the automatic download of the app? Works great. Any chance of putting the name of the song in the stream that is being played or even a scroll with the mp3 info? Where are you getting the feeds from anyway? I'd like to build one for tv (for personal use of course) even if it was just an audio stream. BC

THe barcode is an automated function from google API. As for the feed, its my radio station from my servers in Dallas. :) for example my install link is http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=300x300&chl=http://android.cyber-fm.com/CyberFM.apk/ replace my http address with the link you require and Voila! save the image as a png and you're good to go I have a feeling once 1.5 is released with integrated player we'll have Meta Data streamed with the audio itself ...

I have an online radio show that I do and want my listeners to be able to listen when away from their computer a lot easier and need to figure out how to stream my shoutcast to icecast like you suggest. Can someone please provide step by step instructions on how to get this done? I'm a newbie and I'm really lost on this one. I'm running Centova Cast on a dedi with Shoutcast & Icecast. I've never set up a relay before and don't understand the mount point configuration settings. Also how exactly do you fake the .mp3 stream on Icecast?
