Error upon fresh download of source code and running simulator

I am using self hosted BT2.0 for the first time and I am receiving a build failed error (see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/kb6L0Bel ) I dragged the files into xcode (which could be seen in the screenshot)..I haven't made any screens or anything..Just started a new app, uploaded screenshot and downloaded source code. Attempted to build and run the project and I immediately get a build failed. Any suggestions on how to solve this? Self Hosted 2.0 Xcode 4.5

Hi PikPocket, You must drag the folders in the place where it says (with the blue xcode-icon): pikpocketstudios 1 target, iOS SDK 6.0 Hope this helps. Best Regards, Danny

I have already dragged the folders into xcode. (see screenshot for proof) Everything that was in the source code downloaded file is inside the xcode project. Any ideas why this error is occurring?

You have to restart, unzip the downloaded package again and open it in xcode. Next thing to do is to drag the folders in this section, exactly on this spot: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3427464/temp/pikpocket.jpg In your screenshout you tell that you dragged them in 'products'. Or do I misunderstand? If my solution is already what you did then I'm running out of answers. Best Regards, Danny

Sorry for the misunderstanding of the screenshot-the arrow was just pointing to the general directory of the project to show that the folders do exist in the xcode project, I didn't mean to point to the product folder specifically. Here is a quick video of exactly the steps I took from download, inserting folders and building->for some reason the project is failing with the same error every time I re-download the source code http://screencast.com/t/hiZ1dQosP

On last shot: Could be of showing the error but could you try and go to BT_Config --> pikpocketstudios_AppDelegate.m on line 109 where it gives the error. It now looks like it ends with:.... NSZombieEnabled = YES; edit this so it looks like this:....NSZombieEnabled = YES"]; Notice the quotation mark and the bracket!? now save the file, do a clean and rebuild. Best Regards, Danny

I added "]; at the end which seemed to fix that problem. I cleaned the build and ran it again I get this error now http://screencast.com/t/A4De3gZo

OK, A bit out of solutions. Suggestion: You can send me the zipfile of the app if you like. So I can try it on my own Xcode and see if we can find a solution. Send the package to info at bt-addons dot com Don't know if you already have tried but try to export again from your control panel and restart the proces from the beginning. Could be that there was an error with the export. Best Regards, Danny

I really appreciate the help, Danny. Can't seem to figure this error out ever after googling. I'll send ya source code and I'll continue to try to find a solution.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10435213/linker-command-failed-with-exit-code-1-use-v-to-see-invocation I'd take a look at this page, from your screenshot its duplicate errors thats causing this maybe one of the solutions listed will help.

I tried his (used)Xcode project and got the same errors. After trying fresh downloaded source code it works after correcting the first problem (quotation marks and bracket). tried this with simulator 4.3 and 5.0 with sdk 5.0 Could it be a problem with sdk 6.0 or with the install of sdk 6.0? Best Regards, Danny

Thanks a lot Danny for all your help! @Arubaman- I saw that link through google and was reading about duplicates. Turns out I duplicated the layouts folder when I dragged them in so that was the 2nd issue. The first issue was the quotation marks and bracket were missing.

@PSMDanny saved the day! I have verified that the [your app name]_appDelegate.m file on the download server was causing this issue. I don't know why (the file has not changed in awhile) but have fixed it. Like @PSMDanny isolated and showed the fix for...the "]; was missing at the end of one of the lines of code.
