My application not starting.

My android application won't start up. When i click the icon on the device it pop up with a force close error. I have created the application out of an old un-used application in my control panel. I have done this to 2 applications, and they both have the same error showing?!? https://dl.dropbox.com/u/70063294/Screen%20Shot%202012-07-01%20at%209.32.17%20PM.png

If you have the app on your device you know the following: App compiled OK. So, the problem will be with: Home screen Bad screen nickname - first character must be a letter ? Bad image file name - check for spaces Just some thoughts. Run the logcat, it may tell us something interesting. Fred

It's looking for, but can't find, the home screen which is a splashscreen with item id B6D6ACA21F5E3B36DE54D51 in the config file. Try removing the splashscreen if you haven't already and use another home screen, see if that helps. Might try refreshing/updating the config file too.

Good call, @raveyd! Splash screens seem to be super problematic with Android...I'd avoid them if at all possible. Mark

I have already removed the splash screen and changed the home screen. still no luck. i will try the config file. Maybe i have to put a splash scene back on, because the previous app had a splash screen?

If you remove the SplashScreen itself, make sure you also remove the SplashScreen setting from your Global Theme. You need to remove ALL traces of the screen and places it was connected to. Then, copy your current Configuration Data file to your local (or wherever you store it) BT_Config.txt file and rebuild your app. Don't forget to do a Project...Clean before you do your build again.
