Hi Iggy, Have you added anything to your project other than the standard stuff that came with the download? Like, did you add AdMob or something else that might require an SDK to be added to your project? Or...is this just a vanilla project you got from buzztouch, which now appears to not be working? Mark

Is the project set to a google api or android api? And if it's a google api is it the correct api level? The logcat output would be useful, lots of reasons why this could be happening. Don't think it would be a project problem Mark, it's more likely an eclipse/emulator problem.

Hello, i am using bt v 1.5 and the google 2.2 8. My project is very basic as i am trying to get used to the tools, i have only added a simple menu with a couple of icons, and a couple of images via URL and via adding images on my project. Nothing too complex. I cant work out what the problem is.

Emulator should be the same as the api level - 2.2 8 Try creating a new emulator. Don't Panic! Are you able to compile the project and test on a device? Or at least compile the project and get an apk file? If it compiles ok, the project will be ok and it'll likely be an emulator problem. Emulators can be a pain.

I have tried creating different emulators, re start de whole set up process with eclipse, downloading more sdk files, fixing errors on properties, etc... Nothing seems to work? I am able to compile project and get the apk file. I guess it must be a problem with emulators then. What can i do to fix it? Have u had problems like this before? Should i download sdk files and re install the whole thing again?

There could be a number of reasons for the problem. Do a search on stackoverflow.com for: "Installation error: INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY" There will probably be lots! See if any of them match your circumstances. There should be fixes posted for most scenarios. **EDIT** Just had a look, there ARE lots!

OMG. I have just created a new emulator and it is working?? it has taking me 3 evenings to sort this out! I nearly gave up :( Does this mean that my app will not work on some phones? is there a problem I need to fix? or is it that I was just using the wrong emulator full stop? Thanks to all of you for all your help. iggy

Probably just had the emulator setup wrong. Fred
