Problem Parsing JSON Result

Some self hosted panels are showing this error when packaging projects. There is a bug in the way the icon upload process works in self hosted control panels. If you're experiencing this, try re-uploading your apps icon. Upload a .jpg, not a .png. The self hosted panels are saving all icon uploads as .jpg images, even if a .png is uploaded, this is causing the API to fail when packaging the app. a) Make sure your API key is valid in your admin panel in your self hosted package. b) Export your apps icon as .jpg image using your favorite image editor. c) Re-upload the icon in your control panel. The .jpg, not the .png d) Download the project, the API should package it without any trouble. We are preparing an update to the self-hosted panel and have added this to the list of fixes / improvements.

It's unclear what issues @Worker73 and @marcorlandi are having. The process is relatively simple...the self hosted panel uses CURL (a package on nearly all linux machines) to make a request to the buzztouch.com api to package the app. If it's unable to do so, it shows a failed message. Debugging and diagnosing what's wrong with the self hosted install / server isn't possible without isolating what is an what isn't working. This post is about self hosted servers that were failing because they could not process the apps icon. Is this the reason you panels are not working, because they can't process the icon or are there other issues? --Does the API key validate in your self hosted panel? If so, then for sure CURL is operating on your backend fine. --Does the self hosted panel package ANY apps or fail on every single one regardless of what type of icon you've updated? --Can you package an app that's "empty" - no icon, no screens, etc? Again, a matter of figuring out where it's failing. I'm happy to log into your control panel(s) to see if I can trace this down. If you want me to do this, I'll need: a) A login for your buzztouch control panel on your server b) A login for FTP access to your control panel's files. Send this info to david @ buzztouch.com and I'll get a look. Be sure to include your buzztouch Screen name (the one in this thread) in the email so I know who you are ;-)

@ David - just sent you an email with everything, I really appreciate your help! Hope to hear from you really soon! Many thanks, By the way, I've tried to make an empty app but it can't let me download the code if I don't set an icon... And it's the same with every app I make. The rest is ok, Api codes are right, no problems and curl activated.

@ MAGIC_MAN - Just so you are aware, v1.5 was in an early Beta when we stopped development on it to begin working on v2.0, and the new website, etc. There is some information about this in the readme.txt file in your android project download folder. Your best bet with assistance with your v1.5 android problems is to first search the forum. You've probably done so, so the next thing to do is to create a new forum topic if you didn't see anything related to resolving your issue. This allows the whole buzztouch community a chance to help you out. Being the wonderful bunch that they are, they will when they can. :D This is a good idea for several reasons. The primary one being that if Davis, Stephen, and I spend all day personally responding to individual issues as they arise, we will never have the time to develop anything new or fix overarching issues that affect the whole community. We have to balance this fact with the reality of us genuinely wanting to hep you guys and to create a strong community. So please, if you haven't already, create a new thread with your v1.5 android issues. If the thread already exists and has gone unresolved for some time, please give us a link to it so we can take a look.
