Is there a way to start buzztouch with the 1.5 version at this time?

Hello A friend of mine advised me to start to use buzztouch but said she suggested using the 1.5 version which I can see is not self hosted. ? is that an option? Is there an advantage to using the 1.5 version vs the new self hosting version? Thanks for your help as I attempt to get started -- I intend to create apps about different locations in the country and also medical based info apps that would have a lot of RSS feed and video material to link to.

You can get self hosting here: http://buzztouchmods.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=8&pid=29#post_29 The advantage to 1.5 is that it is FREE (through a few limitations) - is great for starting up. Advantages to 2.0: http://www.buzztouch.com/BT-server/ Best of luck! David buzztouchmods.com

Then you better of with BTv2.0 Don't think it's an option for good reason. Just posted this in another thread. In my Buzztouch Screens article I list all available screens. www.MySkylla.com The only two screens not available are iBook and Custom Plugin. Already there are several plugins for BTv2.0 that are not available in BTv1.5. Given the additional features and growing support for BTv2.0 I doubt for most users that it would be wise to use BTv1.5. For Android it's a simple contrast. For iOS, it's not as simple but do you really wish to invest time and energy into a platform that's not being developed. For a few (and few is the defining word) it does make sense to use BTv1.5. Hint: If you don't know why you're choosing BTv1.5 you're not one of the few. Fred
