App just rejected: Reason 2.2: Apps that exhibit bugs will be rejected

2.2 We found that your app exhibited one or more bugs, when reviewed on iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1, on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. When the user taps on an item, no action is performed. For discrete code-level questions, you may wish to consult with Apple Developer Technical Support. Please be sure to: - include the complete details of your rejection issues - prepare any symbolicated crash logs, screenshots, and steps to reproduce the issues for when the DTS engineer follows up. For information on how to symbolicate and read a crash log, please see Tech Note TN2151 Understanding and Analyzing iPhone OS Application Crash Reports. If you have difficulty reproducing this issue, please try testing the workflow as described in <https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/qa/qa1764/>Testing Workflow with Xcode's Archive feature". __ Everything works in simulator and on my iPhone 3gs. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance, Josh

it might have been a bt_config.txt glitch, where your test environment had already downloaded and cached a newer, working copy of the config file, and the apple tester did not have it yet. Just a guess.

Was your config file up to date on the submitted app? Are you working from an update config file, which is why you're not having the problem, but Apple did? Fred

I think we both made the same guess. Fred

I haven't made any changes since I submitted the app so I would guess the config file I tested on and the one that Apple has are the same?

It depends on when you downloaded the config. Did you copy/paste it from BuzzTouch into xCode right before you did your final build? Or did you download it from BT early on and never update it within xCode?

For me the solution was to build offline app and to copy/paste the info of core properties to bt_config.txt in Xcode.

I downloaded it from BT early in the process and didn't update in xCode.

Bingo. Go back into the app @ BT, and display the configuration data. Then just select all copy, and paste that into xcode over the existing bt_config.txt (cmd+A, cmd+C @ BT-> cmd+A, cmd+V in xCode) - I've done it a million times, lol!

It´s better to assure the success to copy from configuration / data in core properties to xcode in config.txt.

I had the same rejection reason as well...this thread was very helpful thanks a lot guys. Too bad I have to wait another 7 days to see if this actually fixed the issue and if my app passes review :(

I had the same rejection error. I never updated the bt_config.txt since I've downloaded the project. Now I update it and resubmit the app. Hopefully it gets approved! I will let you know. This is the description of the error I got: 2.2 We found that your app exhibited one or more bugs, when reviewed on iPad (3rd Gen) running iOS 6, on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. The app launches and displays a blank white page. (the screen that is not showing properly is a Menu Simple) Please see the attached screenshot for reference to the issue. For discrete code-level questions, you may wish to consult with Apple Developer Technical Support. Please be sure to: - include the complete details of your rejection issues - prepare any symbolicated crash logs, screenshots, and steps to reproduce the issues for when the DTS engineer follows up.

Hey guys! I tried this fix but it did work. My bt_config.txt is updated and is the same as the one at Configuration Data URL. Now I got the same error: We found that your app exhibited one or more bugs, when reviewed on iPad (3rd Gen) running iOS 6.0.1, on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. Any other suggetions? Is there any point in downloading the whole project again? I have made a couple of chances on Xcode (add some ads, custom buttons, etc) so I prefer not to.

It runs fine on your device/simulator I'm guessing? Weird - I think if you do a forum search for the term "blank screen" you will should come up with some threads that might help you out

Thanks for your reply Absentia. I googled and found a couple of tips: - Not modifying the app in BT while it is under review (I dont remember doing this but I will make sure not to do it this time) - Validate json with http://jsonlint.com/. Mine was a validate code but it is a nice tool to keep in mind. - Change "screen names" for easy names without special character. I was using a screen name with ":" and another one with "&". I will update my config.txt, rebuild, resend, re-wait and let you know.
