How do I actually get my App transferred to Self Hosted Buzztouch?

How do I actually get my App transferred to Self Hosted Buzztouch? I have just set up Self Hosted Buzztouch on my server. What is the process to get my app onto it? thanks

Step 1) Go to Buzztouchmods.com - find the store, and obtain Chris1's 'App Copy Script' Step 2) Read the instructions Step 3) Peform the migration Step 4) Throw the party Keep in mind if you have any 'Live' apps, you'll want to recreate them, and update them in the stores before any 'retirement' on the BT side; Although you might have the same 'copy' of the app in your self hosted, all of the 'phone home' stuff that is in the core of the apps 'in the wild' will not know any better. Update. Give it a few weeks to a month before you retire the app in the BT server. Hope this helps! Cheers! -- Smug

Oh right! sorry! I forgot David was still working on that… Yeah, like Ed said… contact Chris directly and he'll hook you up. If you're using Chris1's 'Menu with Image Advanced' he has a setting where you can choose whether the menu shows up on iOS, Android, or both. In the mean time, if you have stuff that isn't going to work with eclipse, I think you can 'cut them out' of your config file, but Chris would probably have better advice. Cheers! -- Smug

hey guys i have brought the app copier and loaded my app onto my Self Hosted Server. I have struck an issue now. I am copying an app called Golf Fit Free i have made in buzztouch. I am wanting to change this app in the self hosted area to be just for android as they have different file name requirements and plugin compatability. but i am not sure how to do this, as if i go and make any changes it will still update my itunes version once i update it in live mode? whats the best way around this please? Hamish

Currently any existing app 'in the wild' does not know you've changed your server… So it will continue to contact the BT server, not your self hosted. Changes made to the 'version' you have in your self hosted should not have any effect on your 'released' apps… Cheers! -- Smug

Hi Smug, Im not sure i explained properly. i am wanting to duplicate the app and then update them separately. one xcode and one eclipse. because of the different requirements.

Right… no problem there… Remember, the app you built in the 'BT server' has a different 'phone home' url than the one you are creating in your self hosted control panel… So if you 'self host' a new app, it will not be connected in any way with your BT hosted app. Just give it a slightly different 'friendly name' so that, when you eventually migrate your 'existing' iOS app to self hosted, you can differentiate between them… Cheers! -- Smug
