Score Card

Hey all I want to make a scroecard screen for my junior AFL app. What would be the best way to create a score card screen? In AFL , for two teams there are Goals (worth 6 points) and Behinds, which are one point. What I'd like to be able to do is have +/- buttons goals and behinds for each team, and then 4 more buttons for each quarter So that in the end you get something like this (the totals which are automatically adjusted) HOME Goals Button +/- Behind Button +/- Q1 (radio button) Q2 (radio button) Q3 (rbutton) Q4(rbutton) Q1 Goals 2 Behinds 1 Q2 Goals 1 Behinds 3 Q3 Goals 1 Behinds 1 Q4 Goals 2 Behinds 0 Us Goals 6 Behinds 5 Total 41 AWAY TEAM Goals Button +/- Behind Button +/- Q1 (radio button) Q2 (radio button) Q3 (rbutton) Q4(rbutton) Q1 Goals 2 Behinds 1 Q2 Goals 1 Behinds 3 Q3 Goals 1 Behinds 1 Q4 Goals 1 Behinds 1 Us Goals 5 Behinds 6 Total 36 Would I get this all into an html screen? (assuming it can do a bit of jscript for me as well) Or should this be its own plugin? Thanks geniuses!

I think a good place to start is at the end and work backwards! If you can put together a graphical mock-up of what you think would look right as an end product, the design journey will help you understand how to deliver it. Maybe use html to start ? At the moment, I can't picture this at all I'm afraid.

Yeah - I think it can be done with html and jscript. http://hornsbyberowraeagles.com/images/scorcard.JPG Looks like this

Maybe you can purchase this plugin and try to tweak it. https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/plugin.php?pid=B2B040FDC53D53E455F0529

@autopilot You can do as Niraj and I did for our superbowl app, I asked him to start with a hand drawn sketch, give it to me to design the final mockup, then take an existing plugin to skin my graphics onto it. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=A2167F435EDD2E6FD018622&currentPage=1

Based on your diagram, you can do it with a custom plugin or do it with custom JavaScript. The custom plugin would have to be written twice -- for iOS and for Android. If done in JavaScript, hopefully it works in Safari on iOS. Then for Android, you will have to account for the Android Browser and for Chrome. It may be a pain on Android due to the variations in the browser technology (WebView). Or you may be able to keep it simple such that it will all work just fine. The final answer depends on your skill and your energy on learning new things. Let us know when you've started your journey! -- Niraj
