Context Menu screen transitions make Context Menu unsable (BTv3 iOS)

Selecting any screen listed in the context menu uses the default right to left slide, but really ugly. (how is that for a technical description;) I believe it is a BTV3 Core-context menu issue and not the menu plugin. I have a context menu on my main menu (Menu-With-Image). I believe it would be the same issue with any menu. Some of the screens listed in the Context Menu include (Login) and (Enable GPS). After any of the items listed in the Context menu are selected, they slide right to left partially covering the original menu until in place. They have background portions that are transparent until in place, and then snap to correct solid. Help - has anyone discovered a workaround to enable Context Menus to work correctly? A large percentage of new apps will need to utilize the Context Menu- so this is a major BTv3 issue on iOS7. ======== Did not add to Plugin Bug List- because it is a BT v3 Core issue.

I was able to get it working, but I had to manually add a tranistionType to the menu item. The only way I could do this is by taking the app "offline" by deleting the configURL for the app. If you were planning to do that anyhow, let me know and I can give you the workaround. But if you need to keep the app connected to the control panel, we'll have to wait for a different solution. -Chris

Log it into http://buzz-tools.com under the Simple Menu plugin. Apologize for hijacking a plugin for a Core issue. :-)

NCbuzz I haven't looked at context menus at all yet, but if you can get inside the code for each item on a menu list then maybe this from Kittsy might help? http://kittsy.co.uk/use-different-ios-screen-transitions-in-a-buzztouch-app/ At least as a workaround until the bugs are ironed out. Cheers Paddy

First off thanks for the link to Kittys's cool write-up on how to swap out transitions in order to include others like the camera lens. Just added that for several screens. Too bad they were simply not included in the CORE/ Could just as easily add them to the NSArray so they would not need to be swapped, but then would have to edit the JSON and remember if ever save the screen again. ==== Didn't have time tonight to see how this would help context menu- since it is called different then from a menu.

One request... Whenever new core updates are rolled out aka "when the dust settles" ;) Please somehow post what was changed in each. I assume I am not the only one who has resorted to editing several BT routines. I have commented my changes so they will be easy to find, but know it will be a significant amount of work to migrate my code (if still needed) and test in new BT code releases. Thanks.
