Images folder empty after unzip?

Hi guys, Have any of you came across the situation where your images folder is empty after downloading the zipped package? I have tried to trick the system and place the image (an icon in this case) manually within the folder and dragging it into xCode, but it still didn't show anything on the Simulator. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

Hello, Are you talking about BT_Images? By default this folder is empty. If you are putting things in the BT File Manager, they do NOT get included with a your package download. You can check out this video to learn more about the File Manager: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEFMUVfxreU If you download your package, load it into Xcode, then put an image in BT_Images, you'll have to drag it over to Xcode. But, if it's an icon, you'll want it to go into BT_Art folder. BT_Images is mostly for things like images that go with HTML files. Mark

GoNorthWest is right. (In fact, he's never been 'wrong' as far as I know). BT_Art for 'system' images. BT_Images for 'your' images. BT_Images is always empty (on download). It's one of the bigger misconceptions about the BT 'work flow'. Often people think that when you 'upload' your image to your project, it is downloaded with your project. But it's not. It's more of a 'way' for someone just starting out to be able to 'link' the images in their project without having to worry about code. Yet you still have to add your images to the project manually after download. It seems like an extra step, and I suppose it actually is. But it's a 'larger view' decision that allows a lot of non-experienced people to create their own 'step by step workflow' to build projects. As you get more experience in BT, you'll start to find your own methods and procedures that work best for you. But hey, if you have questions, 'someone' will have an answer. It's what the forum is all about :) Cheers! -- Smug

Oops. That was a page refresh. I think I would stick in compiling all the images within the project file, just to avoid silly things like, moving servers and breaking client's apps... I am on a self hosted. Regards, MN

@MobNew, good practice is if your image files are small enough, I'd do the same compile it into the app so no client issues.
