Experience with Flurry

Hey everyone! I recently posted on the forums asking for anyone's experience with Appirater. Now, I'm hoping to gain some insight from anyone's experience using Flurry Analytics to track their app users' usage! I hear Flurry is typically better than Google Analytics and pretty simple to integrate within the app. Has it been helpful receiving data usage information about how users interact with your app? Right now, I can't see the disadvantage of not integrating Flurry within my mobile applications. Thanks for the input! Nicholas

Hi Nicholas, Never used it myself, but it's funny because I was just reading their homepage again not more than an hour ago debating about whether I wanted to pull the trigger on it or not. Let me know if you add it, how easy it is to add, and what your overall opinion is. I'll be watching this thread to see what other people think. :) I'm actually surprised nobody has made a plugin for analytics of some sort yet for Buzztouch. Add the plugin to your project, add your details in the control panel, done. That would make it really easy for us, and would be something I'd pay for.

Hey @Angry Ninja, Thanks for the input - I think I'm finally ready to make the plunge! I was considering Google Analytics for mobile apps for a moment, but Flurry has been around longer in the mobile app development scene, so I'll take the plunge and see how it goes. I'll keep you posted on the process - so far it seems simple enough. Indeed... a BT plugin would work wonders! Nicholas

Hi Nicholas, This time I can say I've both implemented and currently have Flurry in the latest version of my app. I put Flurry in my app last year and I love it. Like Appirater, it's easy to put it, even for people that aren't good with code. I find it really interesting to see how many people use my app, and it's cool how it shows what devices are being used, software, etc. I've never used Google Analytics for mobile apps, but it seems that a lot of people use Flurry. Hey David, Thanks for sharing your experience with both Flurry and Appirater! I just implemented Flurry into 5 of my iOS apps effortlessly. Tested it out on the simulator and I'm pretty impressed with it's capabilities. Took me much less than 5 minutes to implement into each app. Flurry has been around longer in terms of tracking mobile applications versus Google Analytics and at the same token, the 3-5 step instruction set for Flurry seems more intuitive than Google's at the moment. Thanks again for sharing! Nicholas P.S. @Angry Ninja, Flurry is a real ease to implement with your iOS apps. Looking forward to having my app updates hit the market and see how both Flurry and Appirater work with my users!
