PDF Doc Screen - email PDF doc from URL

I have a PDF doc screen (with the PDF doc loaded from URL) Running on BTv3 App iOS7 iPhone simulator. Selected: Show Email Document Link Show Launch in Native App button EDITED: Wondering if I am doing something wrong. The two icons appear. a) (pen/doc) icon showing for email. However after selecting YES- email screen does not appear. Is this because I am on running in Simulator? Other plugins bring up email screen no problem... b) Action icon for native app suggests safari. (assume that is because no pdf reader installed on simulator?)

a) Not sure. Tapping on the pen/doc icon does…? Nothing? b) Probably. I usually don't use that button in iOS because it displays fine within the plugin. If the email icon looks and behaves 'normally' in other plugins, and *not* the PDFDoc plugin, then there 'might' be an issue with the PDFDoc plugin; Common tasks should behave similarly across the app. For giggles, try 1) a different PDF document as well as 2) use the PDF doc locally. If the icon changes, then it's a doc issue for some reason… If the icon doesn't change, then it's probably a plugin issue. Let us know what you come up with, and go from there. Cheers! -- Smug

Share Icon: This works as intended. The code was designed to allow the pdf to be opened in Mobile Safari, not any given PDF app installed by the user. The problem with allowing a PDF to be opened by any app installed is that you have to know up front what apps are installed in order to offer an option to open in that. It's too much to keep up with the PDF apps available on the App Store for a free plugin. Would be a good feature for someone to add for an upgraded version of this plugin though. Email Icon: This works fine for me. Tested on iOS 6.1 and iOS7 simulators.

OK- now that I am testing on a phone (iOS7)instead of simulator I can give it a full thumbs up ;) Chris is right... 1) The Share Icon works as designed. Enabled when loaded from URL, grey when doc local. In either case I will not include, because we are looking at the PDF in the PDF screen ;) 2) The PDF document that is being viewed (local or from URL)emails fine. What is really cool that the person receiving it in iOS7 email then has all of the options of their normal methods to view, save share, etc. So a tip for the user is to email the PDF to their own email!
