New to including ads - App Appropriate ad banners?

Hi Everyone, I haven't included any banner ads in my apps before, and I was curious about how ad networks work to select the ads that are placed in the app. My concern is that the ads be "App Appropriate," meaning, for example, that if I am making a kids educational app, I really don't want the app to be placing banners for games and the like that are against the spirit of the app. Is this type of thing set with the ad network when you register the app? Any info / experience would be helpful. Thanks! -William

I believe that if you are using iAds (for iOS), you can specify categories and age level. iTunes Age Breakdown: (This probably applies to iAds) http://jworldhosting.com/Uploads/Apps/iTunesAgeRatings.png Jake

I can tell you that Applovin - https://www.applovin.com - does have a checkbox which specifies that your app targets children under the age of 13. I don't have any experience using it, but it's there
