We Need More Android Menu Plugins in BuzzTouch Market Place

Hi Developers, For those of us who major on android app development, I think we need more android menu plugins in BT market to inspire and spice up android apps development. The android menu plugins in BT market now are just too few for my liking. More Android Menu Plugins will be appreciated, thanks!

Yes, I support you need as many plug-ins! even more! and most importantly that they are easily installed, competed along with other worthy, or code samples as displayed in HTML, understandable ....

Have searched the whole BT Market and I don't seem to find great android menu plugins to inspire me to develop android apps, I think this is a big challenge for me as an android developer in BT. For instance, I have bought all the android menu plugins in BT market and only two- Menu Image Advanced plugin & Side menu plugin- really impressed me but you see, I have got great variety of android app ideas and I cannot develop all my android apps around just those few menu plugins.

@kennedy...Feel free to try your hand at developing these android menu plugins OR hire a plugin developer to make the plugins you want. @chris1 makes awesome plugins for clients. Try Elance or Odesk.. I can't help but say something because I've noticed on ALL plugin annoucements there you ask "what about android?". The developer probably didn't make the android plugin at that time for different reasons -- doesn't have the know how, takes longer..whatever the reason may be. You mention you want to "develop" android apps, so why not take the initiative to try to make these plugins available for your app OR even help participate in releasing plugins? Let's think of a solution rather than making the same complaint on every single forum post.

Hmmm... @WaYsTiiD TIME You see, I am quite new here and I don't even know you hire a developer here like Elance or Odesk. This is not about me, its about BT community of android developers... if there are developer here that can do the job I could pay them, I only know @chris1 and David not available for hire. If developers here could develop android menu plugins, why not develop and make it available in the BT market for everyone at any price in the true spirit of BT community and not just for me alone?

For what it's worth, I'm spending my Christmas vacation from work learning Java for the explicit purpose of developing Android only plugins! Mark

As much as possible, I try to release both iOS and Android versions of my plugins… which is why I only have one plugin, lol! It's not rocket science, but it does take a bit of ingenuity to create a good plugin in either iOS or Android. To create a plugin in BOTH iOS and Android is a hefty challenge, because of the differences in languages, as well as other details. The Android side certainly needs some love, I agree. But I tend to agree with Waystiid as well; nothing stopping you from buying a book and using the keyboard ;) I encourage you to try your hand at learning how to code Android; you could be our top Android plugin developer one day :) Cheers! -- Smug

Maybe the answer lies here! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2531640/Does-owning-Apple-handset-make-SMARTER-iPhone-users-quicker-witted-Samsung-BlackBerry-HTC-owners.html HaHa, LOL! I own a samsung, have no idea about iOS and mainly trying to get my head around Android! As I have always said though about surveys and statistics, you can come to any conclusion you want if you manipulate the data the way you need it!

Hey Guys! The truth still remains: the BT Plugin Market needs more Android Plugins to match the iOS counterpart, that's the point. Developers should show some love for android plugins in the spirit of true BT community.

Hey @Kennedy, forgive me for my lightheartedness, I tend to not take issues like this too serious. As for the truth: YES, undoubtedly it would be good to have a few more Android plugins BUT I do not blame the developers or BT for the lack thereof, I put it down to Nature - ie. natural instinct and talent. You and I are probably much the same as a large percentage of the BT community, just that we are all at different levels. In my case, with a background in electronics, self taught in html and php, have ever only owned a Microsoft based PC (dabbled in Linux occasionally), use an Android phone and live in the southern hemisphere(large Android market share), I have naturally drifted towards Android. Alternatively, those in the US have probably grown up with Mac's, iPhones and iPads so have naturally drifted towards iOS. My learning process usually sees me concentrate on a particular topic, item, or in this case a specific OS and associated languages until I have became reasonably comfortable with it. A process I suspect many of the BT community probably follow as well. So as a result you have a community that comprises of people who are at different proficiency levels in either one OS or the other, with a small percentage that are proficient in both! In the development of BT, David created an excellent platform for LEARNING and App creation.

With the recent release of BTv3, they have now allowed for members to show their creativity and take the reigns for plugin development, and we are seeing the benefits of this with many new plugins coming online. Unfortunately though it does seem that there is far more members proficient in iOS than Android! Another way to consider this is to put yourself in current developers shoes. Lets say you become proficient in Android and have developed some of your ideas into screens. Do you hold off on releasing them into the plugin market until you have maybe collaborated with an iOS guru so that both are catered for OR do you just release the Android version and let someone else do an iOS version at their own call? Either way, one group will be disadvantaged! In the first case, the Android mob may not get to use the plugin for a few months until the iOS version is done and in the second case, the iOS mob will scream blue murder like yourself for you not supporting them! As in the true spirit of the BT community, we are all here to support you in your learning!

K-man, perhaps you can team up with Suvinay. He has quickly learned how to develop Android plugins at a young age of under 19. https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=15D2195EE6E51868C85EE45 As Paul refers to learning, I am amazed at the passion exhibited by the youngsters in publishing plugins and apps and in how much they help others in the BT community. A few that I know of are Suvinay, Jake, Adam and Thomas. -- Niraj

"... and if you don't put up an avatar soon, I gonna stop yapping with ya! :-)" @Niraj Shah there you have my avatar. "K-man, perhaps you can team up with Suvinay." Now, as an Aspiring developer I am ready to team up with any one who is ready to develop great android plugins. Since I cannot develop android plugins for now, I am ready to support any one who can with money, for instance, how much will it cost to support @Sheri to make the android version of Sounds Board plugin available in the BT market? Lets begin from there.
