Generic IOS Device

Hi Guys, for some reason, when i plug in certain devices into xcode, it recognizes them temporarily and then switches to generic IOS device in the device window and wont run my apps, its only happening on certain devices,i think its devices that i haven't plugged in since i updated, my own devices work fine,any pointers here as to what im doing wrong, searched online but found nothing to fix it. cheers Sean

What devices are you trying to plug in? Perhaps they're no longer supported by Apple? Mark

It was an iphone 6 and 5 Mark, works fine on my old 4s, i think it may be me with some settings wrong, it did ask me to remove arm 64 at one stage, but then didn't show an error for that, i have closed down and restarted xcode to see if that mattered, I think theres chance also it may be bug with the new Xcode. cheers dude

Something similar happened to me once. For me, it turned out to be the cables. Alan

thanks Alan, I had kind of thought that, I will change cables today and see if that fixes it. cheers dude

Wow! Gotta love easy fixes like that. Crazy that a cable issue would cause such problems. Alan is the man! Mark
