I read the read me, it said pretty soon, was wondering if this was expected by the end of this month (November)? I don't use the server, so having a plugin of it wont do me any help :( Thanks! David.

Hi David, So, buzztouch is moving away from the whole v1.5 screens way of doing things, and moving towards the plugin format you can now find being used in the BT-server project. Meaning that in the near future you can expect buzztouch.com to behave a bit more like the buzztouch Server project, specifically with the plugin format. There isn't a whole lot of difference from your end, in that a plugin is basically a v1.5 screen, but it is slightly different in its coding. We are doing this for several reasons, one of which being that we will be able to create many new additional plugins for buzztouch users like yourself to use, faster than if we stuck with the (now older) v1.5 platform. We realize that this change is causing a slight delay in the release of the new plugins (screens), but it will benefit everyone in the long run. We release things as soon as we can, and if you pay attention to the release/change logs, I think you'll see that we have been busy. :) We don't usually pin down a release date unless we are working on a larger project and we are fairly certain that the coding will be 'done' at the time of release. For smaller releases like the plugins, we usually just post them up for you guys to grab as soon as they are ready to go, and we have everything released prior to them running without errors.

Will we have to completely remake our current 1.5 apps?

@ Jake Chasan - No, you won't have to remake your v1.5 apps. They will continue to function just like the older v1.4 apps out there. You will still have access to the v1.4 and v1.5 control panels. However, keep in mind that the majority of our time for development and support will be aimed at the new 2.0 platform. There has been talk about creating a converter for older apps to the newer 2.0 platform, but I wouldn't hold my breath. ...and we know it'll mean some more work for you guys, but it free up some development time for us, and gives you guys a chance to learn the new platform if you choose to use 2.0.
