Fifteen Minute Video Tutorial: Using LogCat in Android Studio

Hello! Another video tutorial for you, this time showing how to use LogCat, and essential debug tool, in Android Studio. I chose to do the video using Android Studio because of the focus that Google has on it, and because Buzztouch will eventually move to the Studio file structure for our projects. If enough people want me to do one for the Eclipse ADT Bundle, I'll do it. In this video you'll learn what LogCat shows you, and how to use it with the Android Emulator, and with an Android device. Hopefully this gives you enough information to get LogCat output to post to your debug questions. The video is currently uploading to YouTube, but should be done in about 30 minutes or so. When all the processing is done, it'll be available here: http://youtu.be/ayIR5a51Ohg Don't forget my general YouTube channel, where you can find tons of videos on Android development for Buzztouch! https://www.youtube.com/user/gonorthwest Enjoy, and don't hesitate to provide constructive feedback or mad props! Mark

Great stuff Mark! I must say I find Android Studio much better to use than Eclipse. I got my app running in the Emulator and on a Samsung tab for the first time using your first video on Studio. Thanks a stack!

My pleasure! I hate to admit it, but Android Studio is working a bit better than Eclipse for me at the moment as well. For some reason I really want to dislike Android Studio, but it's starting to grow on me.

Great videos! I think I'll try to move over to Android Studio now. Much appreciated
