Tons of folks were having trouble downloading v2.0 apps. Tons of folks were not. The issue was related to how the apps icon was being loaded into memory then resized for the package. Or, in the case were it didn't work, how it was NOT being loaded into memory. After a few days of digging, we've finally figured it out and fixed it. Whoo hoo. The fix isn't all that complicated but the problem is interesting and could be helpful for someone to understand. And, for sure we'll need to open up the self hosted package and get this implemented. I'm certain it's in that code too. a) You upload an icon using control panel. v1.4 and v1.5 apps only allowed .jpg images. v2.0 allows .jpg or .png. However, the icon re sizer / uploader was saving all uploads at .jpg images. Yes, even if a user uploaded a .png, it was being saved as a .jpg. This was the issue but wasn't obvious. b) User downloads project. Code dies, shows an ugly message, drives the user back to AppMakr. LOL. Code died because it was trying to load a JPEG image into memory but it was actually a PNG image. The file extension was .jpg but the images was actually a .png image. The fix was a simple as teaching the upload screen how to save the file with the right file extension, duh. But, not being an image expert, I was sure that renaming a .png image with a .jpg extension would prevent it from showing in anything. Wrong. Browsers seem to have no trouble with this. But, performing image operations on it (resizing, scaling, etc) using PHP killed the code. PHP's loadimagefromjpeg and loadimagefrompng are NOT interchangeable and for sure the file extension matters. It matters syntactically, and the image must actually be of the expected type. Lesson: Looking at a file name is not enough when dealing with images, not all .jpg's and .png's are created equal.

Thank you. My app is working now. Yesterday my wants to refresh the whole time. This error no longer exist. That bug is gone too. The only bug i encounter at this moment is that on my android phone, the app is called buzztouch. I don't know where that is coming from. PS. Do you ever sleep at BT. Grtz Erwin

I do sleep, more than most folks realize! LOL. Android app name should be fixed now too (as of an hour ago or so). You can download the project again, or you can adjust a simple thing in your existing download: res/values/strings.xml Change the "app_name" value from buzzTouch to your apps name.

We can"t download the "simple menu plugin" to our server. Link is broken. Anything you can suggest or should we just wait?

Hello, I know that this is TOTALLY inadequate, but I cannot create new topics: the error is the same whatever the title: "It looks like you already posted this topic.
