All I want now is to create an information-type android app e.g. an ebook that you can download and install on an android device to read such as cake recipe, how to info apps etc, I need a detailed instruction or guide to make these types of apps. Any quick help will be appreciated, thanks.

First of all, welcome to Buzztouch. Buzztouch is an excellent software framework for creating Android and iOS mobile apps and it is also a very friendly community of developers and users, in this very forum. Having said that, you will still have to start learning the entire process on your own. It usually takes a month from finding this site to having the finished app published in the Play store for Android. The kind of app that you want to make lends itself perfectly to buzztouch methodology of creating apps, so this is a good place to be for you. The alternative is to hire a programmer but it is more fun to do it on your own; and even if you wanted to hire a specialist here, you would still have to create at least one app so that you knew what to request from the programmer...

You should take the btU courses and you can also use the pdf plugins if you want to make your ebook as a pdf document.depending on the time you have you coukd take tge course and have tge app functioning in couple of hours.its takes alot more time to make it a good app as Dusko mentioned.(artwork,etc)
