32-64 Bit Error when Opening Android Studio

So I followed the video to the point of installing JAVA and Android Studio, even creating JAVA_HOME when first opening up Android Studio. Unfortunately, I get an additional error that prevents AS from opening: "NOTE: We have detected that you are running a 64-bit version of the Windows operating system, but are running the 32-bit executable. This can prevent you from finding a 64-bit installation of Java. Consider running the 64-bit version instead, if this is the problem you're encountering." So I'm not understanding what this is talking about. I installed the JAVA 62-bit version, so I don't understand this reference to a 32-bit executable. Help?

UPDATE: I didn't get it working, because as soon as I closed Android Studio and tried to run it again later, I got the same error message. I was advised to uninstall JAVA and AS again and reinstall again. Sure enough, did it again. However, this time when I went to the Program Files to the Android Studio>Bin folder, I noticed TWO applications. The first was simply "AndroidStudio"....the other was "AndroidStudio64". Lightbulb! Ran the '64 application and Android Studio opened right up. Hope this helps someone else.

I don't run Windows for my development, so I wasn't going to be much help... But I'm glad you got it worked out, and am booking this post in my list of 'try this' solutions... Cheers! -- Smug
