Is there a way to change the buzztouch version of an existing app in the control panel?

Is there any way to change the buzztouch version of an existing app in the control panel? The tutorials I've found suggest using 3.0, the old tutorials in BuzztouchU suggested using 2.0. Or is this automatically the newest version on download?

Welcome Ryno, Out of curiosity, why you want to change the "buzztouch version"? You can only download version 3 here @buzztouch. LA

Buzztouch v3 is the only one available at the moment, unless you previously created one using an earlier version. The docs are a bit out of date, but are being updated as time permits! Mark

I am a little confused. I have not used Buzztouch for 2 years and I just started a new app today. I was not given an option of choosing a "version." Under the "app icon" in the control panel it says "version 1.0." Is this correct? Or should it say "version 3?" If it shouldn't be version 1.0, how do I update it?

Hi, That "Version 1.0" thing you see in the Publish section of the control panel (and in the list of your apps), is just a field for you to keep track of what version of your app is currently live. Lots of people never touch that field at all. It has nothing to do with the version of the Buzztouch core files, which are currently at v3. I believe that if you download a package from an app that was created before v3 files were released, then you're given a package based on the core file version it was originally created with. Does that make sense? Mark

@LA - Because I can't get the simplest app to compile. Figured maybe it's the version that's causing issues. I deleted eclipse, and am redownloading it, might help, probably not but at this point, it's my last attempt. @GoNorthWest - That's what I was afraid of.
