BT Server 2.1.6 - Plugins not inserted into database.

I have installed BT-server on my web server. Everything works fine except: When I upload a plugin it will upload successfully but when I click the 'refresh plugin link I get a http 406 error: Internet Explorer cannot read this webpage format Looking at the files on the web server I see the plugin has been unzipped and showing in the files/plugins directory, but it is not showing in the database or in the list view of plugins.(I have no plugins showing but have loaded about 6). The /files directory is set to 0755. Everything else works just fine. Had no problem with the install. I downloaded the plugins from the buzztouch.com Plugins link.

The plugins do not get uploaded to the BT_2.1.6 server, they have to added via the control panel. FTPing the files will not work. I downloaded all the plugins to a folder, then from the BT control panel installed each one. The only FTP that I did was to install BT_2.1.6 itself. After that there is no FTPing, it is all done through the control panel

Sorry, I should have worded a little more specific. I am using the Admin control panel to upload the plugins. I get the message .Uploaded Successfully. But when I click the Refresh Plugins link on the control panel I get the error: http 406 error: Internet Explorer cannot read this webpage format. The plugin zip file is unpacked and showing in the plugins folder on the remote server, but is not showing up in the Admin Control panel list of available plugins. Also it is not in the remote server database. I have tried this with about 6 different plugins but all with the same result.

Yes, setting the /files/plugins directory to 0777 instead of 755 does not work either. I did a fresh re-install in case a file was missing or damaged, but still the same result. Thanks

I do have 2.1.6 (with all buzztouch official plugins) running with no issues (a lot of others also). Is there any chance an account could be added (have seen another on the forums here that had done that) so that another set of eyes could look at it directly?
