After uploading to iTunes, received this message

So I received this note from Apple. Are these suggestions or I have to take action? Not sure. I´m using Scringo though (iOS). Help will be much appreciated!! Thanks! --Pancho ------------------- Dear developer, We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "Vidtours Arqueología". Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery: Missing recommended icon file - The bundle does not contain an app icon for iPhone / iPod Touch of exactly '120x120' pixels, in .png format. Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to include API used to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature's entitlements do not include the "aps-environment" entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the "aps-environment" entitlement. See "Provisioning and Development" in the Local and Push Notification Programming Guide for more information. If your app does not use the Apple Push Notification service, no action is required. You may remove the API from future submissions to stop this warning. If you use a third-party framework, you may need to contact the developer for information on removing the API. If you would like to update your binary for this app, you can reject this binary from the Binary Details page in iTunes Connect. Note that rejecting your binary will remove your app from the review queue and the review process will start over from the beginning when you resubmit your binary. Regards, The App Store team ----------------

Hey @Pancho, Yeah, I received the same email. It said "you would like to update" so I didn't! LA

Is there a need for some sort of "push certificate" of some sort?? Never used Scringo before and I think it´s the culprit.

These issues shouldn't prevent your app from being approved. These are suggestions to fix, and I would recommend you tackle the icon one, but they are not mandatory requirements. The push notification issue means that you have the code available, but it doesn't appear it's configured...which is not a problem. Ultimately, you can ignore these, and all should be well. Mark

Where would the icon go? I´ve submitted the required icons in Xode; all 4 sizes (57, 72, 114, and 144). Which one should I replaced? Thanks!

Not quite sure! Looks like it's an additional icon that they want to see. Oddly enough, I just submitted an update to an app with the same default icons you mention, and I didn't receive the letter you got, and the update was approved. Strange! Mark

Hmmm.... interesting. When I upload the app data to iTunes I took the precaution of including an iOS 7 styled icon (in "manage your apps"). The ones with changed borders from a template I managed to obtain. But, in Xcode there´s no room to include this 120 px sized-one. Besides, what would be the point of changing just one icon instead of the four needed? Unless, they want us to change the four? In that case, why do they mention only the one size (120)? Not very logical... fascinating these apple guys...

I believe it has to do with iOS 7. Larger app icons. Now they want us to include 8 icons? Jake

Got the same message today. I submitted two apps yesterday without the message. So this has to be brand new I second Jake, has to be with iOS 7.

Just to put 2 cents in... Apple did change the iPhone image size requirements for IOS 7 app submissions http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18523193/ios-app-submission-invalid-image-sizes http://blog.manbolo.com/2013/08/15/new-metrics-for-ios-7-app-icons The "friendly push notification email" comes every time your project (from xcode) has push notifications enabled or your .mobileprovison has push notifications enabled. You can ignore this message if you don't want push.

OK, great. Indeed they did change the sizes. 1) They also reaffirm the sizes for iOS 6.1 and earlier; 57 px and 114 px, which is what I included. My app is for iOS 6.1, therefore there is no non-compliance. Conclussion(?): 60 px and 120 px is not a "hard" requirement for iOS 6.1 and earlier. Would this be correct? ... dunno... 2) Regarding the "friendly push notification email", I included a distribution push certificate with my bundle. Enabled that up in the provisioning portal in my App ID. I shouldn´t have gotten the warning, but I did. Unless there´s another place that I should enable that? ... dunno either... Thanks!

So what did you do about the coloring errors on iOS 7 with the Nav Bar and Menu Backgrounds?

Thanks allandriggers! Good to know. For now, I´ll just sit down tight and wait. I assume that when iOS 7 is officially released, the new icon sizes will become a "hard" requirement. My doubt is still with apps for iOS 6.1 and earlier. Was your app release for iOS 7? Thanks!
