First report of this. What's the App Name (as it appears in your control panel), we'll get a look.

There are a couple of threads on this. I believe it's site wide. Still very faint.

My apps are doing the same. Its been like that for a few days now. I thought maybe the feature was no longer supported.

Ok, finally got to this. As expected, you were all right, no map pins in app control panels (some fuzzy, others none). And...no map pins (sometimes fuzzy, sometimes none) on the public facing 'buzzmap' The issue has been fixed, but, you may need to send us an email. Map usage data up to about an hour ago will not show on your maps. Your usage map only shows the last 1000 pins (up to 1000) so you may or may not care that the old data is not showing. If you have a busy app, your map will be full again in a few days. If you're app isn't busy, and you want us to show the old data again, send us an email with: Subject: 'restore my usage map' Message: The list of app names (exactly as they appear in your control panel). We'll get your old usage data back on the map. We do this every so often as part of regular maintenance. Most folks never realize it's happened, some do. No biggie if you want some old data back on the map, just send the email. So, why did the pins suddenly stop working? Google Labs is gone. We knew they were going away but didn't realize we had some housecleaning to do when they actually shut down. The map icons were coming form labs.google.com. Labs no longer exists and neither do the icons! We created a new icon and a new shadow and all is well again. Lastly, for the techie nerds that care about database stuff. Could be useful if you're learning to deal with large datasets or if you're planning to have to someday? v1.4 and v1.5 apps fill different databases and different tables of statistical data when app requests are made to our backend. These tables can get large, very large. When you click the 'show my map' button, you're asking our backend to sort through 40,000,000 or so rows of data (that's forty million), organize it by location, then drop a pin on the map for each unique location and (ignore duplicates). As you can imagine, this is pretty hard on a server. It's incredibly fast if you think about what's happening, but, slow and expensive in computer speak. So, we purge this data occassionally to speed things up and save some time and some resources. If you're wondering how large, as is file size, 40,000,000 rows in one of the simple tables (lat, lon, timestamp, app id) is about 10Gig. Not too bad, until you try to sort through it in a second or so ;-) Glad this came up so often this week, it needed fixed!

Great. Thanks for looking into it. As a suggestion. For 1.4 apps, maybe a link to the map page, like the one in 1.5 (Show the Usage Map), should be added in the sidebar. This will limit the amount of request to the database. I often check it every 3 or 4 days. As far as the speed, the server is really good, because it pushes the data in a very timely fashion.
