Hi, I am running self hosted buzztouch v. 2.1.7 and I have a problem with the custom URL screen. The URL that I enter does not save when I asked the page to save and obviously does not load within the application when asked. I have had a good look around for a solution and I have tried one or two things, but without success. I would be grateful for any suggestions as to a solution, please. Kind regards, John Resolved - I think that the error lay in my not downloading the custom URL plug-in correctly and making sure that was added to my app.

Is it a funky URL? Try using a URL shortened. You get the bonus of tracking analytical that way too. :)

Try upgrading your self-hosted server! Current version is 2.1.9, there were many changes since 2.1.7, maybe the app package you downloaded (recently, I guess?) has issues with older versions of the server! Good luck! Jack

John, this is a longshot for a possible work-around, but if you create a new screen of type custom url, can you save your URL in that? I once had a wierd problem once with a buzztouch screen in an app, I tried everything, in the end by re-creating the screen, the problem went away. I deleted the old screen and all was fine. Alanmac, Good idea, but I've tried recreating the screen a few times. Jack, Yep, I might try to carry out the upgrade. I believe that this is a major update so I want to check around the forum to find out how things went for people when they did the latest upgrade. Any thoughts here would also be aprreciated. John

I've carried out the upgrade to self hosted v2.1.9 and the Custom url screen now saves the url. I still get the same error on the app, though "Something's not right. Error loading screen? The application had trouble understanding what to display." I'd be grateful for ideas on what I can try to resolve. John

THi Toot, Many thanks. Unfortunately, the upgrade to v2.1.9 did not go well. I have had all sorts of problems. My apps are not downloading from Google Play at the moment. I'm still trying to sort out these major issues before coming back to the Custom URL issue. So far, it really is not looking very good .....

Hi John, I think the "Something's not right. Error loading screen" message can happen if the screen isn't where the app is looking - i.e. maybe the screen is saved in your build but has been renamed?

Hi AlanMac, what you mean by "saved in your build but has been renamed" ? any suggestion will be very valuable coz I m stuck now, I just download the code from server and never rename anything, but it never work! Pls follow the link I post above for the state of the problem !
