App rejected because of not having In App Purchases.

hi there... i made a web based profile app which was submitted to the app store. after 22 days i get a response from them saying that it is rejected cause the page that my app is redirecting to has paypal payment gateway. so they have said that i need to include in app purchases. i have certain stuff available on itunes but not all of it. can anyone help as to how i could incorporate in app purchases to my buzztouch app? regards, raghav sachar

In App Purchases and all the Apple Requirements are tough. What does the app sell? Setting up the in-app-purchase code is very very time consuming and only for folks with lots of experience or lots of programming skill or both. Can you simply remove the for-sale items and still have a useful app that will be approved? I say this because you could always re-add the paypal screen after the app is in the App Store. The contorl panel allows you to make these types of changes after it's been compiled.

hey david... thanks a lot for your prompt reply. i had thought of the same things last night and thought it might be better and less time consuming for me to do what u suggested. i have absolutely no code language experience whatsoever... the app basically is a profile app which pulls material from my website www.raghavsachar.com. i have itunes links to certain products that i have copyright to but not all. do i have to remove the itunes links as well or can they be there? hope i don't get another rejection after a month... appreciate your help!

Was your app approved? If it was, please share the link, I would like to see it. Thanks.

I ran into a similar problem. Just had 14 apps rejected because they are too similar -- even though each app is very specific for the particular NCAA school/team and the apps are clearly customized for the particular fan base -- and I've already got 7 others approved in the app store. Apple is suggesting I make one container app and offer all of these versions as in-app purchases. I'm appealing because I think their idea will seriously be detrimental to the app overall. Nevertheless, I've been looking into in-app purchases, and it does look complicated and challenging.

Have decided to remove the paypal links from my site and resubmit the app... hope it passes.. once it does will share the link. in app purchases would get extremely difficult to do... only if there was an easier way that buzztouch cold probably invent for later upgrades to incorporate it .. would save a lot of people a lot of headache... Cheers guys!
