@Ian: I'm thinking we can get you and @sozoe hooked up. Maybe a new approach? Have you tried to work with a custom plugin yet? If not, maybe that's a better idea. I'm thinking this because we (you and I and sozoe) could get something setup that plays sounds on / off with button taps that worked totally independent of the code in the project. This would make it easier to finely control the sounds I think. a) A custom-plugin screen with some buttons b) A list of sound effects to play c) An audio player object to play/stop on each button tap. Seems way easier than hacking around the existing stuff. I worked on our previous discussion a little the other day and struggled like you - complicated to get the darn thing to stop if it's still playing when a button is pressed!!! Let me know if your up-fo-it, could be good learning about custom plugins, etc.

Not sure what's best, you 'driving' or me? Do this...see if you can get a custom plug in screen to load, even a super-basic one. It doesn't have to do anything, just load when a menu item is tapped. If you can do this, post the exact name of the class file (.m, .h will have same name) and I'll create the same on here. Then, we can cut-n-paste / share stuff while we develop it.

not trying to steer you away from BuzzTouch being that they are the best app building site... but you can try this site out for making your soundboard they have a template and no coding involved: http://www.appsbar.com/

@Lyle: Cool link. No worries for posting it...if it's helpful it's welcome ;-) We are happy to be transparent with other sites that offer similiar services because we understand the nuances and the differences between our service / site and the others. Everybody seems to have a different twist on the idea of helping. However, most of the 'twists' are basically the same - you make some choices on a web-page and THEY submit the app for you for a fee (or for free with some sort of advertising embed). This is an awesome service idea for lots and lots of sites and customers. Our site visitors are generally a little more 'hands on' and don't mind digging around a bit, getting their feet wet in code, learning, improving. We enjoy helping inspring developers and not necesssarily the 'guy' that just wants an app for his restaurant, whatever. That seems to be the biggest difference between us and the others - the asipiring developer idea and how we hope to help an aspiring developer become an actual developer and begin making apps for others ;-) Thanks again for the link.

Is it possible to insert a sound that simply plays when the app opens up? How would that be done, if it can be done?
