BT Server - Custom HTML problem

Hi all, I am using the BT-server latest update. I have added some Custom HTML/Text screens but I just can't get anything to save. I get the following errors: When I click the Save button I get a pop-up that says save-AJAX.php does not exist Under the Save button it says Error Saving I have checked that the file exists, have re-uploaded the file, refreshed the plugins. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.

Hi webwizz, You have this problem only with custom html? Have you checked read/write permissions on folder www.yourdomain.com/bt-server/files ? Directory files should be writeable (chmod 777 or 755 depend on server settings) Just a suggestion but that may cause your problem. Best Regards, Danny

Hi Danny, Yes, it's only with the Custom HTML screen. The permissions are OK - I have tried both 755 and 777. Geraldine

Hi Geraldine, Try following: delete all custom html screens from your app. After this go to admin in backend and click Manage Plugins --> click on custom html --> click on delete this plugin --> delete custom html plugin from your computer and download again from buzztouch. Reinstall just downloaded plugin again and follow on screen instructions. --> go to your app and create new custom html. See if it works now. Good Luck Best Regards, Danny

Hi Geraldine, I had some issues with the editor too. Described this problem and solution in the next link. Try my solution and see if it solves. If this doesn't solve your problem then I don't know what else to try. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=EF114BF7690FACB5BBB33BE&status=&searchInput=magic_quotes&sortColumn=FT.dateStampUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=1&doViews=1 Good luck and Best Regards, Danny

What is showing this pop-up: 'When I click the Save button I get a pop-up that says save-AJAX.php does not exist' Is this your browser making this claim (you are sure the file exists according to your previous posts). There isn't anything in the package that alerts or pops-up any messages. This is very strange and not something I've heard before?

Hi David, Yes, it's a browser popup. I am using a Macbook Pro and have tried in both Safari and Chrome. The popup comes up in both browsers. Geraldine

OK, good info. Next step...because it's a pop-up window displayed by your browser, it must be a webpage. The question is, what webpage is this pop-up displaying? I'm totally baffled here. Browsers don't just pop up windows and warnings telling you files are missing without something else happening. Could it be that the web host or the web-server could be not allowing AJAX functions to process or something? I say this because the save-AJAX.php file is not a file that any links 'open.' When you click 'Save' a javascript function executes and posts all the data in the Editor to this save-AJAX.php file. This file works behind the scenes to save the data then returns the 'saved' o result. This leads me to believe there is some sort of issue with the javascript not firing as expected and that makes me wonder why? What's the URL to the web-page that pop-up's, post it here so we can see it.

Hi David, After some playing around with this I got it to work by only saving in the wysisyg view and not the source view. But when you try to change any of the other options like screen background it loses all the info you just added to the screen! I can't get an URL for the popup - there is no right-click on it but here is a screenshot: http://thewebwizz.com/images/ajax.jpg Geraldine

I've got the same problem too. Any other workarounds to recommend?
