They found a bug, reported it privately and Google fixed it. There's NO issue. I agree with Kennedy that this company didn't cause any harm, but there's no telling whether a malicious hacker might've stumbled across the same and has just kept quiet. Also makes you wonder whether any sensitive apps such as bank apps have been compromised at some point. We tend to overlook security issues with apps, but it's a real threat. Don't ever assume your code is secure. Comments Hmm that is troubling for sure.
