What are the rules for making a tab icon?

Hi. I am having trouble making icons for tabs. The icons I make don't seem to work. I am using powerpoint to make basic images and am wondering what the issues are. Icons I have got externally seem to work but mine don't. Is it an issue of size? (I've been told 72 x 72 pixel - what is this in cms?) I also think I read somewhere that the background needs to be transparent? Any help would be greatly appreciated

For Tab bar icons? It would depend on the platform. for iOS you want 30 x 30 for 'normal' screens, and 60 x 60 for retina images. On Android, I usually use the same icon sizes. Powerpoint isn't a graphics editor; you might want to use something a little more compatible, like GIMP. http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ Cheers! -- Smug Don't try and equate 'size' with 'resolution'. They're two different things. A Basic case in point would be the old iPhone 3GS, and the iPhone 4. The 3GS has a screen resolution of 320 x 640 pixels. The 4 has a screen resolution of 640 x 960 pixels. Both have 3.5 inch screens. So the tab bar icon on a 3GS would be 30x30, and on a 4 would be 60x60, but to the normal eye, they would appear the same size.

Ya, your images are not included in the download package; they're really only good for organizing within the BT Control panel. You still have to add those images to your iOS or Android project in a certain way to ensure the system can 'see' them. GoNorthWest wrote a tutorial on it: http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Adding_Files_To_A_Project_v1.0.pdf That should help you out a little... Cheers! -- Smug
