I guess my problem is only for 1.5 or buzztouch server apps. 1.4 apps just need a re-sized icon.

Good work Koopa! Out of interest, what was your app? PANICK!! I requested my code signing keys almost 16 hours ago and haven't got the email yet- I've also submitted the request twice. How long did it take for yours?

Spooky... As soon as I posted my keys turned up. Anyway, Koopa, did you have to change any of the formatting in your app, or anything apart from removing the maps prior to submission? How long did approval take you? Cheers.

All dressed and nowhere to go. Have my app ready to submit, but developers account has not been submitted. So I'll wait by the window for a date to the prom. Fred Is this offer open to devs who got a PlayBook during the last offer, but are developing a new app? The offer is open to any developer that submits a new application during the qualifying period. May be next prom.

---Anyway, Koopa, did you have to change any of the formatting in your app, or anything apart from removing the maps prior to submission? How long did approval take you?--- Actually, I just realized that the app that was approved was one I coded myself. It is a simple metronome app. It took 2 days to be approved but I submited my BuzzTouch app the same day a few hours later and it is still in the approval process. I didn't change the format for anything because I had nothing to test with and the simulator would not work for me. So I just submitted then hoping that they would be approved so I could test them on my free playbook and it looks like it worked. ---After obtaining to key & adding blackberry nature, what to next app I tried to export but that didn't work. --- I'm not quite sure what you are reffering to here but it sounds like you got it all figured out. ----All dressed and nowhere to go. ---- Yeah, looks like you won't make the deadline... It took them a few days to approve my vendor account.

If anyone has developer account but no app ready no problem: Create app one screen only. Add icon Download 5 min Change icon 5 min If you haven't or can't figure out Eclipse I got you covered. Get your key Send me zipped package. You're finished. I'll process in Eclipse. Then you submit with approved acct. Fred

I reckon my app is worthy, although my only concern is whether the fprmattig etc will look fine on a Playbook.

I've been following this thread but don't have much to add. I did some BB development many years ago (early on) and was very frustrated with the process. Not them per sey, just the process itself. I remember it as clunky and far less polished than I would expect from a company that literally invented this market (kinda). I'm for sure interested in re-visiting this now that they appear to support Android builds. I have zero idea how they want the apps packaged but some insights in this post make it seem doable. The biggest challenge for sure will be the app owner understanding how the layouts work. I'm guessing the java class files will be less of hassle than the layout files and logic. Unsure really. If BB reaches out to us, I'm sure we could figure out a way to help them get 10 or 20,000 apps submitted to their market (if they want to seed it with options) but until that happens we'll be unable to spend any time on their platform. We've got more than we can handle going on already ;-)

New development by BlackBerry. The PlayBook now supports email. So your email screens will now work Fed http://mobile.nytimes.com/2012/02/22/technology/an-e-mail-app-arrives-for-the-blackberry-tablet.xml
