demo of my latest app

Just about finished with my latest app - a fairly simple one, but one I'm doing as a favor/surprise for a friend. It's a little slow at parts, but that's due to my stellar internet connection at home that is slower than dial-up. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9_hpejXN04

Hi Chris. App looks awesome. Some questions: - I assume you used the HTML Doc plugin for the services info for each menu item. But, what did you use to create those docs? I find on the Mac, using Komposer to create the HTML docs, the font size is too small. Is there a standard font size or tool you are using? - what did you use to create the Boarding Form? Is that also an HTML Doc or special plugin? Thanks Steve

Steve - I used the "custom HTML" doc for the services content. It automatically adds the header info to size the text for mobile format. It's not the best html editor out there by any means, but for simple text editing and perhaps an occasional image (like I did in that area), it works great. The "Boarding Form" was a custom plugin I created for this app. That part took up most of the day and a half I spent creating this app, partly because I had to design it twice - once for iPhone and once for iPad - and partly because I had to create a php script for it to talk to.

Thanks Chris. I'm trying to get the HTML Doc plugin to "Oh, Behave!" as Austin Powers might say :-) The font size issue is annoying. We need a Forms plugin, so any chance you can whip that up into shape for the Plugin market? :-) Cheers

That is great. I was intrigued by the Facebook element. Is that using the RD Simple RSS plugin? If so, how do we go about finding the relevant RSS feeds with Facebook and Twitter? Thanks for any pointers... Chris

@LevensGardener, I'll second that question. I was also curious about the Facebook/Twitter feeds. Cheers

I see you are using your form creator plugin, how long before available in the market? How did you add a third button in the navigation bar? Noticed on form screen.

It's sure to be a nice surprise! For easier consumption and navigation, consider breaking up the Menu into Tabs: - About Us - Services (which includes the Boarding form) - Web Site - Social Media Keep on truckin ... :-) Sincerely, -- Niraj

Good attention to detail. I'll bet you're friend was surprised out of his imagination! (Think of an iphone "App" especially for you as your birthday gift!, better than an iphone itself!)

Thanks guys - yep, Facebook is the RD RSS plugin. The boarding form actually is not with my webform generator plugin. I used Interface Builder to do that. Mainly because I needed some things not yet available on the Webform plugin: 1) navbar buttons 2) multiple fields on the same line Perhaps a version 2.0 feature for the plugin?
