After a month or two of tweaking, Prize Casino has finally been approved in the app store. It's purpose is to allow players to play different slot machine games and then be able to redeem those credits that they win for real world prizes. This was developed as a Buzztouch plugin that works hand-in-hand with a user registration system powered by a wordpress backend. Thanks to Cakebit and PSMDanny for helping me with some of the connection issues. Because of the additional installation of a wordpress site, a third party's wordpress plugin to be utilized (thanks PSMDanny!), and a couple of custom php scripts that are needed to make the plugin work as it should, I will not be releasing this as a Buzztouch Plugin in the marketplace... at least not unless I decide to change a few things to make installation easy and universal. The backend in the Bt control panel allows me to change from sweepstakes mode to redemption mode with a single click. Sweepstakes mode means players redeem their credits for entries into a monthly drawing for the prizes. Redemption mode means they can simply shop for the prizes with their credits. Additional slot machines can be added as plugins and seen in the backend, all verbiage used in the app can be changed from the control panel, prizes can be edited from the control panel (including credit costs), the daily amount of free coins can be set to whatever you like (or even none), the scrolling LCD screen default message on the slot machines can be set to whatever you like, in-app purchases for additional coins can be setup within seconds by simply pasting in your product identifiers into the control panel, and the built in user manager allows you to see the players reported amount of times the app has been launched, total amount of spins, current credit balance, how many prize entries they have (in sweepstakes mode), prize redemption requests, and even reports if the user is using a jailbroken device or not! The app is free, but it has multiple revenue streams. Because people will play for a long period of time per session to rack up their credits, iAds has been integrated to provide a solid revenue stream. It is really nice Ninja! Just found one bug.. The slot machines reset when you go back to the main menu. Also, it resets before the allotted 24hrs once you've hit 0 credits. I went to prizes early on in the game with 124 and later I get 0 credits. When I visited the prizes page it showed 124 credits instead of the 0 that I actually had at that point. Its a great idea! I would buy the plugin if it were on the market ;)

Strange... I can't duplicate the error. Starting with 100 credits, I go into a machine, give it a few spins, bringing me to 94 credits. Going back to the main menu, then back to the casino, I still have 94 credits. Same thing when going from a machine to the prize screen... prize screen reports 94 credits, and so does the machine when I navigate back to it. I also can't get it to give the daily credits early... right now the daily free credits is set for 50, so it should only give you 50 more credits if you haven't launched the app in 24 hours or more. What iOS are you running, and what device (iphone, ipad, etc)?

Strange. I've tried on both iPhone 5 and iPad mini, both running 7.1.1, can't seem to duplicate the error. Both of those devices are jailbroken, but that shouldn't make a difference in the credit reporting.

I've got similar bugs I have -14 credits but I have only span a few times, also there appears to be images missing on the reels i think it's the double bar, but can't spin to test further lol

Hnmmm.... thats really really odd. The reel symbols are all localized, not downloaded. there are some blank symbols on purpose though. I think you might be seeing those, thinking there is supposed to be something there. Most real slot machines have blank symbols in some areas too (it is used when determining odds). For the negative credits, I'll have to take a peek. I can't duplicate the error. There is a part of the code there that even states if credits <0 then set credits to 0. Kittsy, if you want to test further, you can delete the app off your phone, and redownload it. it will give you another 100 credits. Otherwise, tomorrow it will give you 50. Thanks for the input guys. I'll have my wife try it on her phone tonight and see if I can get to the bottom of the strange credit issue.

I tried again.. Exhausted my initial points/chips and it worked ok when I went to prizes page but inside of 0 it would hit -1 etc. But I could not duplicate yesterdays problem. I hope this helps :)

Hmmm... strange behavior indeed. Seems like it's working fine for most people, with a few hiccups for others. Tried on my wifes iphone and ipad last night and didn't have any issues. I think I seen a -1 at one point, but it quickly flashed and went to 0.

lol, it's obvious that I forgot to switch it back to sweepstakes mode instead of redemption mode after my last round of testing. Redemption mode would obviously have much higher prize redemption costs. I just flipped the switch back to sweepstakes mode. Refresh the app to see the new redemption model.
