installing app copier

hi guys, installed the above plugin this morning, its showing up in my self hosted, i copy the file over to my server, when i press the link in my browser, it opens up the login page on my self server, when i log in, i dont get the app copier button in left panel, what am i doing wrong

You may need to 'link' it to your control panel, in the admin section. But check Chris' files and make sure you haven't missed any steps. Cheers! -- Smug

yeah followed chris,s steps, when i put the url address in as http://www.????????????/BT-server/admin/cr_copyApp.php it opens up my self hosting with this address http://?????????????/BT-server/?timedOut=1 and i have to sign in again, the plugin is installed but no link on left hand side cheers sean

the self hosting has been set up for ages smug, all my plugins are in there and work, ive set up a demo app in it ages ago, where is the permissions set, i remember doing it when i set it up, i think

got it to work chris, i had to keep the login window open as i put the url in,got little query though, if i copy the app over, with the data url, wont that app change as well as the one on buzz core,when i change the app in either buzz or self hosting, as ive used the same data url with both apps

Glad you got it to work. When you copy an app over, the previous app won't change - it's quite literally a copy. If you are trying to transfer an app from buzztouch.com to your self-hosted server, then after you copy it you need to go into the core settings on the old app and change the dataURL there to point to the new dataURL for your newly copied app. (Go into the core settings on the new app to find the new dataURL). Hopefully that makes sense. Let me know if not.
