I've checked everything thoroughly so far so I missing something. I would be grateful for any ideas or how I can resolve this issue as my server is now down. Are these filed in correctly: define("APP_DB_HOST" define("APP_DB_NAME" define("APP_DB_USER" define("APP_DB_PASS" define("APP_PHYSICAL_PATH" And the rest ofcourse.... After the installation script is done it asks you to overwrite some data in the config.php file. A common mistake is that some people select everything in the config.php file and then paste in the code (and thus also delete 'good' code). This is wrong because there is much more code in that file that should be overridden. Hope this helps. I uploaded the config.php file again and ran the installation process once more. Bingo, all is OK. I am most indebted to you, Danny. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
