Android v1.5

Hi guys, I'm new to Buzztouch and love the product from what i've seen so far, but need Android V1.5 as I don't own a Mac right now so not being able to see compiled app is proving difficult in iOS v1.5. Do you have sn ETA?

Ok will be patient but it's difficult ;) As a newbie I do have another question, hope it's ok to post here. I am trying to familiarise myself with v1.5 for iOS (assuming Android equivalent version will provide similar functionality), however regardless of which route I take, if I hit a situation where 1.5 cannot do what I need it to do, after I have downloaded source, am I correct on assuming I could continue development in appropriate SDK. I assume at that point I would not be able to use buzztouch for that app?

Hi Nash am a little confused with your inital response having read it again. Are you saying No need to wait OR No you'll need to wait. If you are saying the former, I dont seem to be able to launch BTv1.5 Android from within Buzztouch - it just defaults to BTv1.5 iOS

To clarify above - when you select the Start_here_for_v1.5_Apps button you see the following message.....Because you're on our Early Adopter list, the assumption is that you are able to run the iOS simulator on your Mac computer. There is no mention of BTv1.5 Android and see no link to be able to run it. Am I missing something here as I have also clicked the url in your post and read your post dated 12 Jan called BTv1.5 Android Screens & Some Easy Work Arounds For A Few That Don’t Work. This would suggest that BTv1.5 Android version is available to use.....HELP please

After you have built your app and are ready to download. You will have two options to prepare and download for IOS or Android. Click on Download project source-code in the control panel and you will see the top two are IOS and Android. the Bottom two are HTML 5 and Windows phone, not supported yet. Once you click on Prepare package for download then the next step will be click on Download .zip archive. That will contain the zip file of your source and then you can open that in the appropriate SDK XCODE or ECLIPSE.

Ah ok thanks very much gbakakos..... I also watched the itube tutorial videos and even they said that BTv1.5 Android was not ready yet. So (as per David's itube tutorial video on BTv1.5 for iOS) I assume I should follow same steps i.e. Create BT App, Add Icon, then before doing anything else, download source code to SDK for Android (ECLIPSE bit). Once there I can launch the emulator so I can easily track development changes as I make them in BTv1.5 Android

The videos are good but like everything fixed they become dated with time. The best method in my opinion is to create a basic app and export to your device (or used the emulator.)
