Google Map Help!!! No Map Only Location

Ya so this is my first app with the Google Map. I got it to show up on the app without error code but the map doesn't appear on the screen, just the location bubble. So ya what did I do wrong?

Hi in Wisconsin... Doesn't sound like you've done anything wrong, just an adjustment is needed probably. Firstly, is this Android? Assuming it is, you've probably compiled in Release mode but are still using Debug Google Map's API key. Or, the other way around, compiled for Debug using Release API keys. Have a look at the locationmap.xml layout file in the /res directory, it's probably still pointing at the Debug key. Change it to point to the release key, bet it works.

Sweet I got it to work....was using the wrong API keys. One more question. Can I change the default zoom in eclipse without having to re-download the source code again. THX!

You may have noticed that on Android the 'default zoom' doesn't do much. To hard-code the zoom level, on a map with only one location marker... do this a) Find Screen_LocationMap.java in the /src folder of the Exlipse project b) Scroll down to around line 383 and look for mapController.animateTo(items.get(0)); c) Just below that (press enter after that line to give yourself some space... Add this: mapController.setZoom(15) Experiement with the 15, change it as needed. This should do it.
