can't install plugin

Hi Smug,

Installed self hosted v3 server today in a directory off the root, behind https. Installed and tested all the plugins I have, old and new, and they all run ok, except this one which when installed and added to the app successfully, just goes to the directory index list of all the files when I click the icon to go to the control panel.

Any ideas? I had a quick look for typos in the config_cp, but everything looked fine. And plugin permissions are 755.

Plugin looks to be awesome, thanks!

"added to the app successfully". I mean, the icon appears ok in the app screens list.

PS, just tried it on the bt server and it loads up ok..

So... when you open the 'screen' it shows the plugin directory?

Interesting. Try this:

Go to your plugin maintenance pages, and 'refresh' the plugins 'at least twice'.

Then try it again. If it still gives you an issue, you'll need to log into phpMyAdmin for the database of your BT Self Hosted. Look in your BT_plugins table, and find the plugin. Look to see if it has a landing page set. Probably not. But usually people get a 403 error; first time I've seen a file listing.

What 'should' happen normally, is with the update from BT 2.X to BT 3.X, David got rid of php files, and we no longer put an 'index.php' in our directory. What 'should' happen now is the BT 'infrastructure' will look into the database for the proper landing page for the plugin. If it's an 'old' plugin and has an index.php file, it will load. If it's a newer plugin without an index.php (like mine) it should jump to bt_screen.php with some app information appended to the address.

Try a bit of that, and if it doesn't help, give me another note. Sorry for the delay; I didn't get a notification of this message, until you told me.

Cheers!

Well that was simple when you know how, thanks Smug! Refreshing the plugins a couple of times did the trick. Can't wait to try it, it looks an awesome plugin.

Nothing to apologize for, not your fault.

Thanks again,

Paul.

Glad you're hooked up! It's the little things that mean so much :)

Let me know if you run into any bumps with any of my stuff; Happy to help wherever I can.
